Berry's will was dated 27 March 1915. The Lewiston Journal on Sat 17 Nov 1923 page 18 printed the following: Osborn R. Berry, one of Lewiston's Elder Residents dies Friday at ST. Mary's Hospital. After a long illness Osborn R. Berry, one of Lewiston's oldest and best known citizens died at ST. Mary;s Hospital, Friday morning. He had been at the hospital since March 1923. For many years Mr. Berry lived at 426 East Avenue, Lewiston. He was born in Denmark, 12 Feb 1838, but came to Lewiston more than 60 years ago. He will be remembered in his early life as a carriage blacksmith, being employed by Potter and Thompson Company on Park Street for many years when Wade and Dunton succeeded that firm. Mr. Berry continued his work until he retired from active work. He was a veteran of the Civil War. He was married twice but both wives are dead. There are no children. His only relative living is Walter Berry, a brother of Bridghton. Mr. Berry was a man of kindly disposition and was loved by all his associates.
