Record of Sherman in the county of Aroostook and state of Maine and Lucilva Record, wife of said Jonathan G, of said Sherman in consideration of twenty seven hundred and fifty dollars paid by Reuben G. Durgan of Bluehill, County of Hancock and state ______ the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell, and convey,untothe said Reuben G. Durgan, his heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece or parcel of land situate in Crystal Plantation in said Aroostook county and described as follows t________. Bounded on the north by land owned or occupied by John A. Rowe, on the west by land owned by Parker Young and by land owned or occupied by Charles Knowles, on the south by the south line of said Crystal Plantation and on the east by the east line of said Crystal Plantation containing one hundred and twenty acres more or less. Also another parcel of land adjoining the parcel above described as follows. Situated in said town of Sherman, beginning at the north east corner of said town of Sherman then running west on the north line of said town of Sherman to the east line of land owned by Parker Young, hence south on said Parker Young's east line to the south east corner of said Parker Young's land then west on said Parker Young's south line to the north east corner of land conveyed by me the said J. G. Record to True D. Sleeper by deed dated October 31, 1882,thence south on the east line of said land conveyed to Sleeper to the south east corner of said land of said land conveyed to Sleeper thence easterly on the north line of land owned and occupied by Deleslre G. Young to the east line of said town of Sherman then north on the said east line of Sherman to the point -began at containing two hundred acres more or less. Said parcels of land being my homestead farm. Reserving the hemlock bark sold by me to John P. Webber also reserving the manure now on said farm. To have and to hold the aforegranted and bargained premises, with all the privileges and appurtenances thereof to the said Grantee, his heirs and assigns, to their use and behoof forever. And we do covenant with the said Grantee, his heirs and assigns, that we lawfully seized in fee of the premises; that they are free of all incumbrances, that we have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Grantee, to hold as aforesaid, and that we and any heirs shall, and will warrant and defend the same to the said Grantee, his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.
