I've been told by older cousins that remember her, that she had quite a dry sense of humor.(Transcribed by Barbara Jo Castleberry Branch) "To the First Aider" Lady if yu see me lying On the ground and maybe dying Let my gore run bright & free Don't attempt to bandage me While theres life there s hope my pet Don't apply a tourniquet" Do not give for my salvation Artificial respiration Do not stretch my bones & joints Do not press my Pressure Points If queer symptoms you should see Do not experiment on me If Im suffering from shock Take a walk around the block If you must be busy - pray Help to keep the crowd away to what ever my condition Phone at once for a physician Let me lie - I'll take a chance Waiting for the ambulance For "First Aid" I beg release Lady! let me Lie in peace
