plantation in 1866. Incorporated February 21, 1867. Population-1850, 29; 1860,
201; 1870, 399; 1880, 716. Valuation, 1860-Polls, 53; Estates, $25,000;
1870-Polls, 78; Estates, $45,811; 1880-Polls, 143; Estates, $71,577.
