OXBOW PLANTATION.

Forty-five miles north-west of Houlton, and 130 from Bangor. Settled in 1840.
Organized as No. 9, R. 6 Plantation, in 1848. Organized as Ox Bow in 1870.
Population-1850, 118; 1860, 127; 1870, 100; 1880, 127. Valuation, 1880-Polls,
24; Estates, $18,917.
