ST. FRANCIS PLANTATION.

One hundred and forty-five miles N. N. W. of Houlton, via Caribou, Van Buren,
and Fort Kent. Fifteen miles from Fort Kent, terminus of state line. Settled by
Acadian and Canadian French. Population-1870, 253; 1880, 299. Valuation,
1880-Polls, 62; Estates, $20,840.
