Black of Everett, Mass., formerly a resident of Houlton, we have recently come into possession of a letter to Joseph Houlton, Esq., reading as follows: WASHINGTON, March 31, 1828. DEAR SIR: I have the pleasure of informing you that a bill has this day passed the Senate for making a Military Road from the mouth of the Mattawampkeag to Mars Hill, and authorizing the Presi-dent to cause the United States Troops that are to be stationed on that frontier to be employed thereon. The bill also appropriates fifteen thousand dollars to be expended in making the road. Very respectfully, etc., ALBION K. PARRIS
