Part of Weston annexed 4 March 1885and later part of Eaton annexed 15 Feb 1887.
First settled by Parker Tewksbury who came from Cornville in 1829, a few years
later Eliphalet Morse, Nathaniel Schillinger and Jeremiah Schillinger from Poland,
Joseph Webber of Clinton and Seth Stinchfield of Leeds also settled in Danforth, Maine.
