Winn, Penobscot Co., Maine bounds: Mattawamkeag, Webster, Lee, Lincoln, Chester. 
Its previous designations were: River Township 4, Snowville, Fiver Islands being 
settled in 1820. Winn was incorporated on 21 March 1857 the 398th town in Maine.
