Transcribed and submitted by Karen Ray In Brunswick, from intersection of State Rts. 123 & 24, Rt 123 south to Harpswell. 10.5 miles from intersection, turn left onto Grave Point Road. Road dead ends at the water. Cemetery is behind the last cottage on the left. I transcribed this cemetery summer 1999. Miriam Stover Thomas transcribed this cemetery twice & her transcriptions (on file at Harpswell Hist. Soc.) were used with mine to provide the following list of graves. Per Miriam, in mid 1930's, "I scrambled thru high bushes and weeds to find and record stones and inscriptions. Broken, moss covered inscriptions. A half-dozen or more removed and used for stepping stones at a nearby cottage. Some of larger stones used as foundation for a large fireplace in nearby cottage." 1973-"With bushes cut, I more easily checked the stones and inscriptions. Found four stones not there in 1930's. Also Charles William Noble(Civil War veteran)and wife Lydia Noble stones missing. Facing Haskell Island, they were midway to the right. Of course, many stones may be six inches or more underground. In case of a family of six children, it is a bit queer to find five stones of young children missing." The cemetery is now grass covered & kept mowed.
