He was a soldier in Capt. McLellan's company in the Bagaduce expedition of 1 7 79. His home was in the north part of the town, on the farm since known as the Peter Blair place. Feb . 4, I883- William Wood and his wife Hannah both died in Baldwin. Eli Wood, who was born in Standish, May 28, 18O4, was the son of Benoni and Eunice (Decker) Wood, who were married, Aug. 24, 1797.
