Timothy Hilliard, son of Rev. Timothy Hilliard, of Cambridge, Masa., graduated at Harvard College in 1793, and became minister of St. Paul's church in Portland in 1801, continuing in the office until 1808. He afterwards removed to Gorham, Maine. He died suddenly in Claremont, New Hampshire [not in Gorham as stated in the History of Portland, and in Gould's Portland in the Past. at the residence of his son-in-law, Rev. S. H. Smith, on Sunday, Jan. 2, 1842, aged 65. He was a most excellent man. He was admitted to deacon's orders in 1803 and to the priesthood June 6, 1805.
