towns and ten organized places. Farmington, shire town. Population-1830, 15,938;
1840, 20,800; 1850, 20,027; 1860, 20,403; 1870, 18,807; 1880, 18,177. Valuation,
1860-Polls, 4380;  Estates, $4,285,843; 1870-Polls, 4,518; Estates, $5,791,659;
1880-Polls, 4,791; Estates, $5,812,866.
