Huckins of Trenton, Hancock Co, Maine as recorded in Hancock Co Court House at Ellsworth, Maine, R-3125. -------------------------------- All Men By These Presents That I Benjamin F Huckins of Trenton in the County of Hancock and State of Maine, being sick and weak of body but of sound mind, memory and understanding, and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof; and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence, do, therefore, make and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following: 1st, I give and bequeath unto my sister Mary Ann Huckins the sum of ($500.00) Five Hundred Dollars Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my sister Emily Murch(?) the sum of ($150.00) One Hundred and Fifty Dollars Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my brothers Edward and Calvin Y Huckins the sum of ($50.00) Fifty Dollars each Fourthly, I give and bequeath unto my father Benjamin Huckins whatever demands I may hold against him at the time of my decease, and my Executor is hereby authorized to surrender and deliver up any and all demands he may find in my possession against my father the said Benjamin Huckins providing he the said Benjamin Huckins files in no demand against my estate, but should he file in demands against my estate, then and in that case it is my will that the demands I hold against him the said Benjamin Huckins be filed as an offset against his demands against my estate saving and excepting the sum of ($10.00) Ten Dollars which I give and bequeath to him the said Benjamin Huckins (No Fifthly) Sixthly, I hereby appoint Albert F. Burnham Executor and empower him with authority to sell and dispose of all my Real and Personal estate wherever found and convert the same unto money as soon as it can be judiciously done after my decease to pay the above legacies and all my just debts. If, however, at the time of my decease, I do not then hold and possess sufficient property to pay the above legacies and all of my just debts, it is my desire and my executor is hereby ordered and directed to pay the following named legatees, viz: Mary Ann Huckins, Emily Murch, Edward & Calvin Y Huckins in a manner proportionately to the several sums given to each Legatee above named, providing after all my just debts and expenses are paid the sum remaining exceeds ($400.00) Four Hundred Dollars but should the sum remaining be only ($400.00) Four Hundred Dollars or less, then, and in that case, I give and bequeath the whole sum remaining to my sister, the said Mary Ann Huckins above named to her alone, to the exclusion of all the other legatees mentioned in this will.
