Charles H. Hamlen


Charles H. Hamlen, a merchant at Augusta, engaged in the
dry goods for many years at the Corner of Water
and Bridge streets, as a member of the firm of Nason &
Hamlen. He married Caroline Chase of Portland, in May 1839.
She died 3 Oct 1848. He married his 2nd wife, Sarah Palmer of Berwick,
Maine in 1841.

             Augustus born July 1840, died 9 Sept 1848
             Elizabeth born Feb 1842, died 19 June 1848
             Charles N. born about 1852
             Frank P born about 1853, died 3 Jan 1862 ae 9y
             Henry born about 1856, died 22 Dec 1861 ae 5y
