Files for the Kennebec Co. page Date: 97-11-08 17:26:44 EST From: wether@value.net (Bob & Karen Wetherell) Reply-to: wether@value.net To: Itigapa@AOL.COM (David C. Young) Dear David Here are three files to start with. The first two are from the Belgrade Town/Vital records film; all marriages/intentions. The third file is from an 1892 History of Kennebec Co. (full bibliographic citation in the file) and contains information on two War of 1812 units with Litchfield men. Hope this is what you were looking for. I'll send more as time allows. The family records from the Belgrade VR will probably be next. It is helping me to type these as I find things I didn't recognize as important when I read the film. If you have suggestions for improving the format, say so, please. =Karen -------------------- Selected records extracted from Belgrade, Maine Town and Vital Records 1758-1840, filmed by Genealogical Society of Utah, 13 July 1953 and published as Family History Library microfilm #1010555 NOTE: The first few records are transcribed to give a feel for the language of the original. The remainder are extracted to conserve space. page 1 April 22, 1796 Entered in this Record Mr. John Rollins of Belgrade and Mrs Deborah Croel of Winslow gave Legal Notice of Marriage intent by them in the town of Belgrade.
