To the Honorable Mayor and City Council: In compliance with the City Ordinance I have the honor to submit my annual report for your approval. Whole number of arrests, 130. Drunkenness, 56; vagrants, 29; illegal sale of intoxicating liquors, 18; seizures of intoxicating liquors, 25; assault, 10; larceny, 3; fast driving, 4; embezzlement, 1; disturbing the peace, 3; aiding girls to escape from Industrial School, 2; fornication, 1; braking and entering, 1; malicious mischief, 1; prevention of crime, 1. The Night Watch have found 29 stores and other places of business not locked during the year. Money collected and paid into the treasury, $46.00. Dog tax, $22.00; rent of City Hall, $24.00. I have in care as City property, 19 police badges; 1 City Marshal badge; 7 pairs of twisters; 5 pairs of hand-cuffs; 5 police calls; 4 pairs of police nippers; 3 police billets, and a number of empty kegs and bottles. I take this occasion to return my sincere thanks to the members of the City Council for the confidence place in me to serve the City as City Marshal.
