Kennebec County ME Archives Military Records.....Jones, Thomas Civilwar - Pension ************************************************ Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/me/mefiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Duane Farrington duane@uninets.net April 8, 2011, 11:00 pm Pension I have no info for this section. Additional Comments: Thomas C Jones was sitting in camp one evening alone and another soldier ran through the camp and threw a mail bag in his lap. Thomas C Jones could not receive a pension because he was accused of steeling the mail. The person that threw the mail bag into Mr. Jones lap confessed on his deathbed and because of that Mr. Jones qualified for a pension, but died one week before his first check arrived. I am trying to find more info on Mr. Thomas C Jones.
