Kennebec Journal, May 5, 1825: Marriage and Death Notices MARRIED, In Bellerica, Thomas Rowe, Esq. of Boston, to Miss Harriet S. Bowers. In Boston, on the 9th, inst. by the Rt. Rev. Bishop Griswold, Mr. Allen Lambert of this town to Miss Sybil Angier Farnham, of Boston. In Prospect, on the 12th inst. by the Rev. Mr. Hall, Mr. Amaziah Sawtell, Jr. of Sidney, to Miss Malinda Black, of the former place. In Waterville, by Charles S. Davis, Esq. Mr. Wm. Fairbrother, Jr. of Palmyra to Miss Mary Cook, of the former place. DIED, In Sidney, on the 3d instant, Mrs. Rebecca Smiley, wife of Mr. William Smiley, in the 58th year of her age. Mrs. Smiley died of one of the most painful diseases that ever afflicted the human body, which she endured for nearly three years, with a degree of patience and re- signation which gave unequivocal evidence of her cheerful ac quiescence in the will of her God and Saviour, she was the mother of 13 children, the youngest of which has arrived to the years of discretion, who were all present at her internment, and with her surviving hus- band manifested a degree of grief which only departed worth can excite.
