Kennebec Journal, June 18, 1825: Marriage Notices. MARRIED, In Portland, on Sunday evening last, by Elder S. Rand, Mr. Thomas Eaton, of Bath, Editor of the Maine Inquirer, to Miss Eliza M., daughter of Col. James Henley of Portland. In Caswell, county, N. C. on the 10th ult. Mr. William Bean to Miss Sarah E. Greenfield, both of Prince George’s county, Md. DIED, In Gardiner on the 10th inst. widow Miri- am Shepherd, formerly of Kittery aged 91. In Wilton, May 2d, Capt. William Walker in the 83d year of his age. He was born in Billerica, Ms. and was four years engaged in the French war. He commanded a company in the memorable battle of Bunker Hill, and was afterwards repeatedly engaged in opposing the enemies his country. He was one of the first settlers of Wilton, and sustained the character of an industrious and good citizen. He died in the hop of enjoying a happy eterni- ty in the presence of his Saviour.
