In Boston, George A. Otis, Jr. formerly editor of the Castine American, and
more recently of the Boston Gazette, and Baltimore Republican.

In Belegrade, on the 18th ult. Hannah Roe, aged 73, formerly of Newton, Mass.

In Hallowell, Joseph Metcalf, formerly of Ipswich, Mass., aged 88.  George H.
Allen, aged 4 years, son of Daniel O. Allen.

In Strong, Melinda Burnham, wife of Jeremiah Burnham, Jr., aged 20

At his farm, near Easton, Daniel Martin, Esq.  Governor of the State of
Maryland.  He was taken ill on Friday the 8th inst. and expired on the
succeeding Monday, of gout in the stomach.  By this unexpected event, George
Howard, Esq. President of the Executive Council, will be governor of the
State.

In New York, Daniel Williams, the last surviving captor of Major Andrew.
