1816.  June 20-- The first act of the General Court passed for the 
separation of Maine from Massachussetts

1819.  June 19-- Second Separation Act Passed.
4th Monday of July, Yeas and Nays taken in towns on the 
question of Separation and found to stand this, Yeas,
17,091; Nay, 7,182.
2nd Monday October.  Convention met, and before they
separated formed a Constitution.

1820.  Maine an independent state after 15th of March.
