Thirty miles W. N. W. of Paris. Called "Riley" for a long time; organized as
Riley Plantation probably in 1879.  Population-1860, 12; 1870, 32; 1880, 40.
Valuation, 1860-Polls, 20; Estates, $5,014; 1880-Estates, $18,800.
Post-office-Bethel.

  Assessors-Geo. F. Wilson, Edward F. Verrill, LaFayette Littlehale.

  Clerk and Treasurer-Stillman N. Littlehale.
