BRADFORD.

Twenty miles N. N. W. of Bangor. On stage-line from Bangor to No. Bradford.
First called Blakesburg. The first clearing preparatory to settling was made in
the summer of 1803, by James White and Robert Marshall, who came from Thomaston.
Organized into a plantation in 1820. Incorporated, Mar. 12, 1831.
