Burnham Cemetery Garland, Maine Transcribed by Hartley West hartleywest@hotmail.com Transcription Date Oct. 10, 2003 This is an older cemetery and is not used any more but is kept up by the town of Garland it was established in 1828. There is a 4-foot white cross in the far right rear of this cemetery with no stones it represents unmarked graves of earlier settlers that were moved to this cemetery from family lots. To reach the cemetery you go east on the Corinth Rd. then turn left onto the Campbell Rd go out for one and one half miles it is the second cemetery you come to it is on the left side of the road. Graves with the GAR marker are veterans of the civil war Adams, William H. Son of Isaac & Lydia B. Adams died Feb. 26, 1839 age 6 mos. Goodwin, Nancy Wife of William Goodwin died Jun. 8, 1842 only ½ a stone left Gee, Solomon Died Mar. 27, 1872 age 72 yrs. 3 mos Gee, Mary Wife of Solomon Gee died May 20, 1844 age 43 yrs. Richardson of 2nd. Regt. Me. Vol. A native of Wayne who died at Richmond, Va.
