September 27, 1918, son of Colonel Mayo and grandson of Josiah B. Mayo was a sad occurrence. He was born in Foxcroft and was 33 years of age. His home had been in that town until about two years ago when he removed to Pittsfield, Maine and was General Manager of woolen mills there. He was a director in the Lock- wood Co. of Waterville, Maine and a capable and energetic business man. He was a member of Mosaic Lodge F. & A. M., of Piscata- 1918, R. A. C. and a member of the Piscataquis Club.
