Preface
Various sources of data has been used in compiling this information: Vital Statistics, Family Bibles, Grave Stones, Scrapbooks, Obituary Notices, Family Histories, records at Bangor Public Library, Fogler Library at the University of Maine, State Archives in Augusta and, perhaps the most important, from individuals who had knowledge of family lore.

An effort has been made to include entries for spouses and cross-indexed to the husband or wife. Where available the maiden name of the wife was included as an individual record. Children have been cross-indexed to their respective parents.

Each individual has been assigned a "Record Number". Families may not be in numerical sequence, depending upon the availability of the information. Thus, a parent may have a Record Number of "25" and the children may be "1231".

Each cemetery has been presented in alphabetical sequence. The reader is encouraged to bring to the attention of the compiler any information/additions or corrections. Please reference the "Record Number" and "Name". Such information will be gratefully received    and entered in the records.
