GRANGE HISTORY.
Detroit Grange, No. 347, was instituted in April 1899 with
32 charter members. The first master was Wm. Young. The
home of the order has always been in Hart's hall with the ex-
ception of about one year in 1906 when meetings were held in
the upper room of the school house. The lodge room has a
seating capacity of about 200. Past Masters: Frank Clark,
B. R. Brackett, B. E. Robertson, present master. Ethel Nor-
ton is present secretary. The present membership is about
that of the charter membership although at one time it was
more than 100.
