Maine State Jersey Cattle Association.

    Jersey cattle were first introduced into Maine by Dr. Ezekiel Holmes of
Winthrop, Maj. Thomas Harward of Bath, and W. S. Grant, of Farmingdale, about
the year 1855. Association organized 1870; incorporated 1875. Present number of
members, 120. Place of business fixed at Winthrop.

    Annual meeting occurs the last Saturday in August.
