Mrs Sophronia Farrow's obituary, Sprague's Journal of Maine History, Volume 6 page 132 Published 1918 Mrs. Sophronia Farrow, the oldest woman in Rockland, died Tuesday, October 3, 1918, at her home from the effects of a fall a fortnight before, she would of been 98 next Christmas. Miss Farrow was born in Islesboro, the year that Maine became a state. She made her home in the family of the late Hon. Franncis Cobb after coming to Rockland, and for many an hour rocked his son William T. Cobb, who became one of Maine's best known Governors.
