Vickery , March 10, 1999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Know Ye That Samuel Cockran a Corporal, of Captain Michael Boyce Company K 15th Regiment of Maine Volunteers, who was enrolled on the Eleventh day of July one thousand eight hundred and sixty three to serve three years during the war, is hereby discharged from the service of the United States, this sixth day of October 1865, at New York City by reason of Tel. Order War Dpt. A. G. O. May 4th, 1865. (No objection to his being re-enlisted is known to exist*) Said Samuel Cockran was born in St. Andrews in the State of New Brunswick is 37 years of age 5 feet 6 inches high, Dark complexion, Blue eyes, Dark hair, and by occupation when enrolled a Sail Maker.
