It is reported that fourteen children one to ten years old have died in Calais lately; measles and whooping cough. An exchange says that the lessees of summer hotels are playing solitair. They haven't made money enough this summer to play anything else. There is quite a remarkable spring on Capt T.S. Dunn's farm in the Sprague District, Machiasport.
