He married _______ Knowles. He built his house at Epping a little East of the Corner on what has been known as "The Ingersol Farm." Their children were William, Nathaniel, Samuel, James, Thomas who went to Pennsylvania and settled there, Sarah, Mary, Eliza, Susana. William married Susan Wass-- children, Abagail, Eli, Elvina, Green, Root, Luther, Temperance, Irene, Mary, Mellen, Hezekiah, Margaret, Rebbecca, Fannie, Abi. Nathaniel married 1st Prudence Stewart--children, Luther, Daniel, Nathaniel, Geo. U., Lorohamah, Julia, Decie, Sally, Ruth: 2d he married Susanna Sawyer: no children. Samuel married Elizabeth Look-- children, Phebe, William P., Cynthia, Eliza, Nathaniel, David, Ann, Susan. James married Margaret Wass-- children, Rebecca, Levi, Emma, Herman, Maria, Christiana. Sarah married Robert Allen-- children, Amos, Henry, Sophia, John, Truxton, Francis, Robert, Joseph, Benjamin Jones. Mary Married Solomon Root and moved to Pennsylvania. Eliza married 1st Isaac C. Carleton; one child William: 2d Isaac Littlefield; two children: Isaac C., Caroline. Susanna married ____________ Himes-- one child, Maria. They settled at Brewer. From Alexander A young man by name of Rich was drowned in Catherine Lake last Sunday morning, in bathing in company with other young men. The body was recovered in a short time but life was extinct. Funeral next day attended by Rev. Mr Gardiner of Alexander. Charles Cottel, of Wellington, has been visting here recently. He is the oldest son of the late Samuel Cottel. Samuel was the first settler of the town in 1811, then a wilderness. The Wass Family Wilmot Wass Jr. came from Mass. (Martha's Vineyard probably) to Pleasant River, afterwards Addison, in 1769- '70. He remained a short time and returned home for his father Wilmot Wass and his family who came to Addison in 1772. Wilmot Wass' family were Wilmot, David, John, James, Betsey. Wilmot Wass married ________ Strout; children, Wilmot, William, James, Christopher, John, Lucy, Polly. 2d married Rebecca Jordan; children, Joseph, David, Daniel, Stillman, Rebecca, Betsey, Anna. Wilmot Wass 3d married 1st Wealthy Dyer; children-- Lemuel, Holmes, Jones, Otis, Robert, Rebecca: 2d Phebe Coffin; one child Sophia. William married 1st Ann Bucknam; children, Otis, John B., William, Lucy, Miriam. 2d Lucy Ward one child Eliza Ann, who married Gowin Wilson. James married Anna Dyer; children-- Harris, John, Chipman, William, Uriah, Enos, Freeman, Fannie, Sylvia, Salome, Apphia, Permelia. Christopher married Polly Dyer; children-- Henry, Ellis, Christopher, Dyer, Abagail, Polly, Nancy. John married Anna Dyer; children were Enoch, Walter, Henry, David, Ann, Lovice, Rebecca, Lucretia, Asenith, Jane, Christiana. The two Anna Dyers were cousens. Lucy married Elisha Norton; children-- Hiram, Otis, Polly, Lucy, Abagail, Joseph, Deborah and two others. Polly married Nathaniel Wilson; children-- Wilmot, Noyes, David G., Walter, Lucy, Rebecca, Eva. Joseph married Susan Coffin; children-- J. Coffin, Wilmot, Shadrach, Phebe, Mary, Susan. David married Hadassah Nash; children-- Nathaniel, Luther, Priscilla, Antoinette, Belinda, Calista, Esther, Nancy, Maria. Daniel married Rebecca Nash; children-- Holmes, Napoleon, Rufus; 2d married ____ _______; children-- George, Harriet, Ann, Annah. Stillman married Rebecca Merritt; children-- Rebecca, Mary Ann, Theresa, Almira, Wesley, Augustus. Rebecca never married. Betsey married Jeremiah Plummer; children-- Wilmot, Handy, Stillman, Eliza, Miriam, Rebecca. Anna married Uriah Nash; children--Myrick, Moses, Warren, Lewis, Stillman, Alvin, Azro, Susan, Mary, Augusta. David, son of Wilmot senior, married Susan Nash; children-- Rebecca, Susan, Aaron, Levi. Aaron married Mary Knowles; children-- Priscilla, Phebe, Rebecca, Morey, Emma, Mary, Salome. Levi married Emma Knowles; children-- Caroline, Permelia, Lucy, Louisa, Sarah, Martha, David, Aaron.
