I will not post those articals here since they are so long. Local and Miscellaneous Items Mr G.L. Harmon has just completed a building on his premises for a carriage and store house, very conveniently arranged and well finished. The remains of Aaron H. Smith arrived at Machiasport Sept 18, on Steamer Lewiston accompanied by Mrs M.L. Mitchell, who had been to Vineyard Haven, at the request of his friends, to attend to the disintering and removing of the same. He was buried the same day. John Allen, seaman, died in the Marine Hospital at Bangor, of consumption Sept 20. He hailed from Machias. His friends (no one seems to know him in Machias) can learn all particulars by enquiring of Mr Smith, Collector at Bangor. Andrew Fox, of the firm of A.M. & A.J. Fox, lumber manafactures and dealers at Ellsworth, was arrested last week charged with forging the name of Isaac L Emery. At his preliminary trial he was bound over in the sum of $1000. The amount of paper alleged to have been forged is not yet fully ascertained. Mr Oxley the barber has secured the services of an assistant from Massachusetts.
