This cemetery has no sign and there doesn't seem to be a specific name to any of the family burial grounds in Limerick. The town records refer to most of them by the family name or the street location. I would never have found these without the help of the director of the Limerick Historical Society; and even she had a hard time finding them! This cemetery would be referred to as "Pierce Family Burial Ground" or "Enterprise Rd. Cemetery". From Rte. 5 (Sokokis Trail) Limerick; go East on Enterprise Road. This road starts out as a paved surface;then becomes gravel surface after abt. 1/4 mile. Follow Enterprise Road for about 1/2 to 3/4 mile. Cemetery is on the right, set back from the road in a clearing. Buried here are my 4th G-Grandparents,John & Martha (Staples) Pierce. I transcribed this cemetery on Oct. 20, 2003; there are 18 visible stones and many small stones with no inscriptions that appear to be footstones. One stone is worn and hard to read. One stone is broken in the upper left corner. The condition of this cemetery is fairly good; thanks to a local man there who I was informed had volunteered to clean it up and fix the stone wall. I believe this is a complete transcription of the cemetery. The earliest death date is 1819. The following info was taken directly from the stones: CHADBOURN, BETSY E.; d. 11 Mar 1880, ae 82y, 4m, 3d; "She lived a Christian Life"; 2nd wife of Capt. Joseph Chadbourn CHADBOURN, CAPT.
