Daniel Wood, b. July 14, 1739, (son of Daniel and Sarah (Peabody) Wood of Somersworth, N.H.), moved to Berwick to settle June 5 1762 married Dec 7, 1763, Hannah Carleton of Bradford, who d Aug 21, 1764 in the 25 th. year of age. married (2) May 16, 1766, Widow Mary (Plummer)(Roberts) Philpot of Somersworth, N.H. She b. Nov. 18, 1736 Rowley, Mass., and was married to Job Roberts on the 18th of Nov 1759, who died the next spring at Quebec and she had a child named Job Roberts born Oct. 12, 1760 and died July 18, 1769. She married (2) Elias Philpot on Jan. 7 1763 who died the next March at Sanlaze? in West Indies and left no issue. Children of Daniel and Hannah Wood- 1. Daniel, b. Feb 5, 1767, (d. July 29, 1846, m. Miriam Bodwell) 2. Elias, b. Feb. 28, 1768 (m. Margaret Abbott) 3. Hannah, b. Sept. 4, 1769, d. Aug 10, 1771 4 Mary, b, May 4, 1771, d. Aug. 16, 1771 5. Job, b. July 13, 1772 (was the favorite son. He m. July 18, 1793, Jane Lord and married (2) May 24, 1804, Nabby Shorey) 6. Enoch, b. Apr. 24, 1774 (m Dorothy Hurd who died Jan. 11, 1858 ae 80 yrs. Shapleigh) Abigail Plummer died Dec 27, 1786 at Berwick in the 60 th year of her age Elias Wood drowned at sea on his voyage from the West Indies Dec. 30, 1786 Elias Wood son of the above born Jan. 14, 1787 Daniel Wood died June 28, 1819 in the 80th year of age at Shapleigh Mrs. Mary Wood died Jan. 8, 1820 ae 83 yrs. Sarah Wood my mother born Sept. 24, 1709, d. May 18, 1788 Children of Job and Jane Wood were- Samuel Sewell Wood, b. Jan. 28, 1794, Temple Wood, b.
