Born: May 8, 1912, Marinette, Wisconsin
Occupations: “Retired from the Alcona County Sheriff’s Department in 1979, 
where he served as a deputy of 26 years.  Mr. DeJarlais also drove school bus 
for the Fairview School District for 16 years and was also a farmer.” 
Surviving wife: Cora
Surviving two daughters: Ellen Marie Volpe of Missouri and Judy Ann Anderson 
of Scottville
Surviving son: Michael of Curran 
Surviving brother: Clyde DeJarlais of California. 
Also surviving: eight grandchildren 
Funeral services: Monday, April 10, 1989, Curran Baptist Church 
Officiated: Pastor David Dee, Sr., 
Interment: Curran Cemetery.  
Arrangements: Gordon Funeral Home in Mio.
