Surviving two sons: Thomas of Detroit andWilliam of Oscoda
Surviving daughter:  Mildred Dayton of Oscoda
“A son, Richard, a paratrooper in World War II, was killed overseas duty.”
Also surviving are nine grandchildren
Surviving two brothers: Bert LaForge and Ed LaForge of Curran
Surviving sister: Mrs. Harriet Hawkins of Hubbard Lake 
Funeral services: Two o’clock Wednesday (14 Aug 1957), Curran Baptist Church
Officated: Rev. Merlin Skuse
Interment: Curran Cemetery 
Pallbearers six nephews: James and Clifford Hawkins, Lee and Courtney LaForge, 
and Floyd and Myron Wiedbrauk
