Changed the Family Name
Munising, Dec 8, 1891

DEAR EDITOR - By the request of not a few of our white friends, the Nahbenayash
family have adopted "Thomas" as a family of (unreadable), and consented to drop
our Indian Name - Nahbenayash - entirely, as it is annoying to a great many and
a very hard name to pronounce.  My name is Thomas Cornelius Thomas, and all my
brothers have changed their names from "Nahbenayash" to "Thomas"
