The oldest stone is that of Leliah Hicks d. Mar. 28, 1839. One acres was purchased by the township some time after 1843. Neither township clerk nor Sexton has a plat or early records. There are many graves that have no markers. By 1997 many of these stones were unreadable, and there are more gravesites not listed on this 1937 list.
