It is a small yard with many unmarked graves. The stones are widely separated and several were very hard to read. Inscriptions were copied August 24th, 1962 by Ruth Robbins Monteith. He became a revivalist, preaching in many places. He established this Church of God camp ground, which was, at first, located at Bangor in Van Buren County. Later it was moved to its present setting on the shores of lovely little Lester Lake on 55th Street, Lee Township, Allegan County. Camp meetings are still held there, with quite a few cottages, a central auditorium and picnic grounds where outsiders are welcome.
