Born: March 19, 1916, in Curran, Michigan
Deceased Parents: Leonard and Caroline (Weadbrock) Baldwin.  
Occupation: James River Paper Company for many years, retiring in 1976
Military: Veteran of World War II and a member of the V.F.W Post No. 3030 and 
Amvets.  
Married: Gladys (Mae) Arndt,  Dec. 11, 1971, in Otsego; who survives him
Other Surviving Family: “Four stepchildren and their spouses; eight step-
grandchildren; two sisters and their husbands; one brother, and several nieces and nephews.”   
Deceased Relatives: His first wife, Ethel, who died in 1970 and his brother, 
Donald, who died in  1976.  
Funeral Services: Winkel Funeral Home; Otsego
Officiating: Rev. Stephen Tucker
Burial: “Military graveside services were at Mt. EverRest Memorial Park under 
the auspices of V.F.W. Post No. 3030.” 
Memorial contributions request: Michigan Association of the Blind.

Additional Comments:
Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery is located in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI.  Earl had 
a pace maker.  Earl’s first wife Ethel May COOK was blind, which is why that 
memorial was suggested.  Ethel and Earl were married 16 Aug 1936 in the 
Methodist Church, Plainwell, Allegan Co., MI.  His second wife, Gladys 
Ethel “Mae”’s maiden name was DARLING. She was adoped out as a child. ARNDT 
was the surname of Mae’s 1st husband Burleigh R.ARNDT.
