Died: Sunday morning at Crispe hospital (22 Oct 1938; Plainwell, Allegan Co., 
MI)
Age: 76
Widow of: Bert Shears, who passed away in 1933
Born: June 30, 1862, in Monterey; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Avery.  
Religion: attended the M.E. church
Previous Memberships: Pythian Sisters and the Rebekahs
“She as a resident of this city for 45 years.” (Otsego, Allegan Co., MI)  
 Funeral services: Tuesday afternoon 25 Oct 1938) at two p.m. from Benson's 
chapel, Rev. I.W. Minor Officiating. 
Burial was in Mountain Home Cemetery.

Nellie’s mother’s maiden name was Nancy TANNER.
