Religion: First Congregational church, Otsego
Memberships: The local Burdick-Guest post of the American Legion and of the 
Kalamazoo Elks lodge

Funeral services: 3:00 p.m. Monday (24 Jul 1949), Congregational church 
(Otsego)
Officiating: Rev. Seth A. Clay, pastor

Funeral Arrangements: Boyce Funeral Home.  
“Those attending the funeral services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin 
Dobberteen of Sturgis; Mrs. Roy Salisbury, Myrl Large, Mrs. Ernest Colligan, 
Mr. and Mrs. Burton Mc Cormick, Mr. and Mrs. David Nesler and Mr. and Mrs. 
Harvey Freeman of Kalamazoo, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ferguson of Grand Rapids; Mr. 
and Mrs. Jack Henderson of Ann Arbor and Mr. and Mrs John L. Dobberteen of 
Westport, Conn, in Paris, France, when the message of his sister’s husband’s 
death reached him.  He flew back from there, arriving here Monday.”

His mother's maiden name was Neva Gertrude CHURCH.  His wife's maiden name was 
Ethel A. RILEY.
