These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Obituary February 15, 1914 from Otsego Union Mrs Lauara Yerrick whose death was chronicaled in our last issue had been most tenderly cared for in her last illness by Mr and Mrs Lewis Yerrick. Her death though looked for, came much sooner than was expected, and was a surprise to her friends. Mrs Yerrick's maiden name was Laudenslager. She was born in Sheffield (Suffield?) Portage County Ohio, December 8, 1862 her age at death being 50 years, 2 months, 3 days. She was first married to James Case who passed away about 7 years ago. She became the wife of the late Andrew Yerrick, for some time since his death she had lived at Cleveland, Ohio, coming here 10 days before, at the earnest solicitation of Mr and Mrs Lewis Yerrick who knew her days were numbered and wished to care for her in her last illness. She is survived by 4 sisters and 3 brothers; Mrs George B Myers (Lydia). Mrs T.F. Shayler (Sophia) of this state, Mrs Ward of Kalamazoo (Sarah Jane) and Mrs Collins (Mary Amanda) of Chicago, Howard Laudenslager, David Laudenslager and Herman Laudenslager. The funeral was held Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev H.L. Potter of Grand Rapids who paid a splendid tribute to the memory of the deceased. Mrs George R Brown rendered a solo, "Eternity" and Mrs Henry Jager played a funeral dirge. Burial was made in Mountain Home . Those present at the funeral from out of town were: David Laudenslager of Jackson, Mr and Mrs H.L.Laudenslager of Augusta, and Mr and Mrs C.W. Waard of Kalamazoo.
