Fernald born in 1870 in Allegan County, Mi and died on Dec. 24, 1876 in Casco, Michigan, May Frances Fernald born in 1877 in Casco, Allegan County, Michigan and died May Hollett (George) on November 11, 1902 in Michigan City, Indiana, and Nora Hazel Fernald {Herman Repp} 2nd {Albert F. Miller} born March 23, 1884 in Clyde, Michigan and died on March 13, 1963 in Niles, Michigan. He resided at Sherman and had been for a number of years addicted to intermperance. On Friday a boy by the name of Kidder stole a bottle of horse medicine, containing a mixture of aconite and alcohol, and gave Fernald some to drink, tell him it was liquor that he got at Hoppertown. He died before medical aid could be procured... Elder Johnson has been called upon to preach three funeral sermons within a short time, those of John Flint, Noble Scott, and Harry Hamily, all old residents of Casco and Ganges. He died in Casco Township of an accidental alcohol poisoning. When he died my grandmother Nora Hazel Fernald was 3 weeks old and he left his wife a widow for the 2nd time in her life.
