He was born 6 May 1824 in Kent County, England to James BROWN and Celia 
BOURNE.  On 19 May 1856 he married Eliza H. HONEYSETTE in Allegan County, MI.  
Their children were Charles A. BROWN and William T. BROWN.  The family lived 
in Gun Plain Twp., (Plainwell), Allegan County, Michigan.
