Additional Comments:
His middle name was not listed on this record but was given in his obituary. 
His mother's name says Amanda SHAW on this record but other records indicate 
that her name was Malinda SHAW (Shears) (Becker).  Adelbert was born 9 Aug 
1847; Sheffield Twp., Ashtabula Co., OH according to his obituary.  On 29 Mar 
1868 he married Louisa HUTCHINS in Otsego, Allegan Co., MI.  They had three 
children who survived to adulthood and at least 2 that died as infants.  The 
known children were Cora A. SHEARS (who married Albert H. MONROE), 
Martha "Mattie" R. SHEARS (who married STRATTON) and Andrew B. SHEARS (who 
married Stella A. DIXON).  He and his wife are buried at Mountain Home 
Cemetery, Otsego, Allegan Co., MI in Section J, Lot 572.
