Cindy V. Barsen

Cindy V. Barsen, 40, of 10330 Leer, Alpena, died Monday (Oct. 26) in Flint of
injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Cindy Vinette Lewis was born in Alpena on April 14, 1952, and married Howard
Barsen in Long Rapids on Aug. 12, 1972.  She was employed by Fisher Guide in Mt.
Morris.

Mrs. Barsen was a lifelong member of Long Rapids Congregational Church and a
former Sunday School teacher.  She was a volunteer worker at Freeman Elementary
School in Flint and belonged to the Parent-Teacher Council.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Matthew, at home; her mother, Vivian Lewis of
Alpena; two sisters, Nancy (Mrs. Robert) Carr of Clio and Bethany Lewis of
Davison; and a nephew.  Mrs. Barsen was preceded in death by her father, Thomas
Lewis.

Friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to
9 p.m. Thursday, and at the Long Rapids Congregational Church from noon until 1
p.m., when the Rev. George Burrows will conduct a funeral.

Burial:  Leer Lutheran Church Cemetery.
