Mirre Street by her little daughter, Alberta, aged 5 years late Friday afternoon. Mrs. McDonnell was found near a wash tub where she was working, when she was taken ill. Coroner’s Small and Cameron were called and they deemed an inquest unnecessary. Heart disease is given as the cause of death. Mother Wouldn’t Speak. How Long Mrs. McDonnell was lying on the floor is not known. Alberta, the youngest child, was playing in the yard. She went in the house for a lunch, and found her mother on the floor dead. Rushing out, the little tot told Mrs. H. H. Prince, a neighbor, to come over as her mother was lying on the floor and would not speak to her. Mrs. Prince immediately notified the coroners. Mrs. McDonnell seemed to be in excellent health and was well when her daughter, Miss Lois McDonnell, went to her work at the J W. Gavagan confectionery store. Her husband Albert McDonnell, is a trusted employee of the Alpena Motor Car Company. Neither Mr. McDonnell nor his daughter knew of the death until they were notified by telephone. Leaves Large Family. Mrs. McDonnell is survived by her husband, two sons, Walter of Detroit and Henry of Alpena, three daughters Misses Lois, Eleanor and Alberta, her mother, Mrs. Thos. McKay of Ninth Street, two sisters Mrs. Arthur Derby of Alpena and Mrs. James Collins of Cheboygan, one brother Joseph W. Stafford of Calumet. There is one stepdaughter, Mrs. Maude Oates of Onaway. The funeral will be held from the family home, Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock and from the Methodist Episcopal Church at 2 o’clock. Rev. James Pascoe officiating. Her son, Walter is expected to arrive in the morning, and her brother, J. W. Stafford will arrive this evening.
